#11 All about LibraryThing

I went into the LibraryThing site and once again had to sign up a membership, for free of course - just time consuming. I created a profile, chose my books, created a list and it all looked lovely. Once again I wasn't able to use the HTML code on my blog. So I kept searching and have added a search screen, all very excited but it doesn't seem to search my books or many others. Oh, I have spent a lot of hours this weekend trying to catch up so I think I will leave it as it is. Great site though.

Yeah, finally something I can create and hopefully inspire others with!
First of all I went into The Generator Blog, I still wasn't sure of what I was doing, but searched through various sites. I came across Automotivator : http://wigflip.com/automotivator/ and using their random pictures search, found the rainbow. I then searched for a suitable poem, connected the two of them, added a title and changed the colour. Hope you like it.
#9. Finding Feeds

Really don't get this one. Have spent hours following instructions. When I did an EDNA pd I was able to insert RSS feeds into my website. This one just doesn't jell for me. Tried The library journal. I am now moving onto the next one, otherwise I would be here all weekend!

#8 Make life "really simple" with RSS & a newsreader

I have logged into Bloglines and set up 11 feeds. I then went into the Share section on the left hand side of my Blogline and have sellected : A phrase a week

I then clicked on share and created the HTML link.I have tried 4 different links and nothing appears to be working. I must be missing something really "simple" as it just won't work. I only get "powered by Blogsline". I'm giving up for the time-being

Lets see what happens now!

Let's try the State Library, Victoria

Where to begin? Technology has changed all of our lives
but has it saved us any time?
Once upon a time there was the humble typewriter where we typed up our catalogue cards, spine labels etc. Then put them straight onto the books. Now it is all on templates on the computer, with the flick of the fingers spine labels can be printed straight from the catalogue module - well it will once the I.T. people chat with the providers who then adjust the system their end, they the let the I.T. staff know it's compatible, they then reprogram the system, install a new printer, add the labels and voila spine labels are printed. AHH so much saved time!
#6. More Flickr fun
I wasn't sure what I was doing but I found a picture in my files and then uploaded it to http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/. I then warholized it, saved it and voila the finished product. Not bad! I then played around and made it into a Trading card called Angels.
